Matlab is one of the more popular applications and can be run on most of our
servers using the matlab
command.
Note: We do not offer MATLAB as a download. We use the MATLAB version from UDeploy. This version only allows installation on University-owned computers. Students are not able to install MATLAB on their personally-owned computers.
UDeploy’s MATLAB requires a persistent network connection to UD License servers to operate.
In order to run MATLAB from off-campus, You must connect to the UDel VPN.
If you’re experiencing crashes or problems when you use OpenGL -such as plotting 3 dimensional data (surf() etc.)- you can enable software emulation with the command opengl(‘software’). Often this is needed when using MATLAB remotely (such as SunRay).
